Plover is designed for the digital age where education and work spaces demand agility, mobility, and flexibility to adapt to new user behaviour and culture. The chair encourages freedom in sitting posture which is understood to stimulate one’s creativity. It is durable enough for day-to-day dynamic and intensive use yet visually and practically lightweight. With analogy to the duality of the bird’s solitary and social nature, it can be used both individually and collectively to aid brainstorming and co-creation in events such as workshops and seminars. Plover demonstrates how design can be simple yet exemplary in bringing people closer together.
